Saenger Associates has been exclusively retained to find a Director of Accounting/Assistant Controller for a public $250M+ rapidly growing technology solutions provider in Southern California. The Assistant Controller will report directly to the Vice President.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage the A/P and G/L accounting groups through the Accounting Manager, with the opportunity for increased oversight responsibility.
• Manage, train and enhance capability of staff.
• Ensure timely and accurate monthly close and financial statement preparation
• Assist with the SEC reporting function.
• Ensure monthly journal entries and analyses of G/L accounts and reconciliations are reviewed in a timely manor
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and SOX and preforming SOX controls
• Coordinate and schedule preparation for the annual financial statement audit and quarterly reviews.
• Identify and implement improvements to Accounting business processes

YOUR EXPERIENCE AND QUALITIES

• Must have experience in finance / accounting in a manufacturing setting, preferable in an Aerospace and Defense Environment
• You must be a highly skilled collaborator, influencer, and frequent communicator with multiple departments to resolve any issues.
• Successful experience working with operations to improve performance, margins, costs
• Public company experience with filings
• Prefer a local Southern California candidate
• Undergraduate degree in Finance or Accounting a must
• CPA required
